Thrills, Spill, Rides and Slides

My friend Amber and I took our boys to Raging Waters along with 2 of their friends. We had so much fun with our boys. It was a fun weekend with hotels, food, dance parties in the street, swimming, and water slides.

Need I say more. Thanks so much Susan for picking up this ooh so long awaited book and dropping it off at midnight. I dove right into it and couldn't handle the wait. Did Bella turn into a vampire? So I did what you are not suppose to do and glanced at all the pages. I feel much better, I can't wait to actually read it.

Love Birds

Two little birds sitting in a nest K-I-S-S-I-N-G. I am loving working with brides to create these love birds. Each set of birds are created to match each individual wedding. I had so much fun making these two birds. I think I am going crazy because I want to start giving them names.

Dresses for Tennessee

Because I'm crazy and I always have to finish one more project before we go anywhere I decided to make dresses for Leah. I had one day we left for our yearly holiday to the good ole south. One of them turned out a little Laura Ingalls, but cute. The other one I thought, turned out really cute. The Little House on the Prairie dress is made out of vintage fabric from my step dad and the other one is made from the new Amy Butler collection and vintage fabric from my brother in law's grandmother. How cool is that telephone booth. It is in my in laws front yard. I think it is from England.

I did it!!

I made it through the first week of summer break. I remember my mom yelling at us for not being grateful for the fun things she tried to do with us. I hate to say it, but I now know what she was talking about. By the second day Noah and Leah were both grounded. I thought taking them to the beach would be fun. The beach, who doesn't enjoy the beach. The whole time we were there they complained. It's hot, I'm sandy, is anyone else coming and Leah's favorite I'm hungry. It didn't stop the whole time we were there. I finally had to tell them that this can either be a fun summer or a really horrible one. We can do fun things throughout the day or we can sit at home and clean the house and run errands. They were then both grounded. After that day they haven't complained. The thing that really upset me was that the whole week we went to the gym, then to swim lessons, came home ate lunch Ezra went down for a nap and then we would do something fun, the beach, swim at a friends house, or they had a friend over. I on the other hand haven't got anything done around the house. Next week, I'm going to try and get my kids to do more chores around the house. If anyone has suggestions, I would love to hear them.
